Characteristics: The Benest shock absorber is made from a single piece of special Dural alloy. Our unique thread with a special surface is located outside the body of the shock absorber. This robust thread resists slipping and extends the surface of the shock absorber. This helps to cool the oil and air content inside. The suspension hardness can be regulated continuously by presetting the preload, using the preload ring. Shock absorbers offer oil absorption with continuous regulation which can be closed completely and are equipped with the internal floating piston which keeps the oil under pressure so that no bubbles appear and absorption characteristics are maintained. Hydraulic buffer of the rebound travel on the chromium-plated, perfectly sealed piston rod allows slow rebound to the starting position. High quality of work and material yield minimal maintenance requirements. Mounting holes with optional diameters are equipped with self-lubricating SKF bushings. Ground mounts and O-rings are covered with mounting sleeves.

Use:The Benest shock absorber is suitable for
downhill and freeride frames, manufactured by different producers. Naturally,
they are used in all Benest frames but they have been successfully used with
Kangaroo, Steppenwolf, ProFlex and other frames, too.
Assembly:The Benest shock absorbers are supplied ready
for assembly. The Benest shock absorber is easily adjustable without any tools.
Pressure in the internal floating piston is preset during manufacturing.
Before assembly or during use of the shock absorber, do not manipulate with the valve
under any circumstances. The shock absorber is preset to maximum absorption.
i.e. the regulation disc is turned all the way to the right.
To regulate the absorption, turn the disc to the left; the entire absorption
cope is 1.5 to 2 turns to the left. The maximum number of turns is four,
after that oil leaks may occur. Under any circumstances, do not disassemble
the shock absorber.
Maintenance and service:The Benest shock absorbers do not require
any special maintenance. Prior to any manipulation with the preload ring,
the thread on the shock absorber body must be cleaned.
Do not manipulate with the valve. Oil needs to be exchanged according to the use
of the bike, but at least once a season. Do not exchange the oil yourself.
Both guarantee and after-guarantee service of the frame and shock absorber
is provided either by certified services or by the manufacturer
with express delivery.
Special models:We also offer special models of our shock absorbers
(see two examples). Picture 2 shows the attachment ring of the piston rod (on side B) used
for the Benest fully suspended frames, picture 3 shows a different attachment
ring (on side B) for the ProFlex frames. Other special models (e.g. side B, etc.) are manufactured according to
customer specifications.
